Words can't describe what Andy was. He was
humerous, with a touch of fright. To sit and watch Andy work is
true magic. He's serious one minute, then does something completely
off the wall the next. He was a true comical genious. It is a true
shame that he is no longer with us. May Andy Kaufman rest in peace.

I have been the biggest Andy Kaufman fan since
I was eleven. After recently finishing "Andu Kaufman Revealed" I cried
my eyes out, the first time in a long time. Your web page is one of
the best archives that is out there. Keep it up! Adam Scott
After I saw the "Mighty Mouse" routine on SNL
as a teenager, I became hooked on Andy's style of humour. Who cares
whether he was serious or not, to me, he wasn't. Chris
Just recently, with the Jim Carrey movie Man
on the Moon up and coming have I become interested in the life and
times of Andy Kaufman. The more I learn the more I want to learn.
Andy was definitely something else. Words don't do him the proper
justice. Remember a star that burns twice as bright, burns half as
long. Mike
God bless Andy! I don't think I would have survived
the 80's without Mr. Kaufman taking the piss out of everybody. He
turned a plastic world on it's head, sharing his subversion and anarchic
joy with everyone pure enough to see his art for what it was. We all
laughed with him, and we all loved him for his nerve. I suppose my
favorite Andy memory was when he went on T.V. proclaiming he was a
born-again Christian, and sang a duet with a Lawrence Welk lady whom
he said he was engaged to. Brilliant!! Wherever you are Andy, thanks.
And all our love!! Jimmy Angelina
Andy Kaufman is the Marcel Duchamp of entertainment.
We still don't understand just how good he was. Joe Ford
I have recently only grown to know about andy,
but he is truly the funniest man Ii have ever seen. Andy
I admit it, I watched the Andy Kaufman special
on Comedy Central just because I'm a HUGE R.E.M. fan, and Michael
Stipe loves him. But there's something about Andy...he was light years
ahead of ALL of us...the Mighty Mouse bit...Oh, golly, don't get me
started on Elvis...you wanted to hug him, hit him, and pee your pants
laughing at him all at one time. They don't make many people like
that anymore. Brandi Butler
Who was Andy Kaufman? I was blessed to have
snippets of the real Andy on the phone in 1979 & 1980. He was a sweet,
kind, considerate gentleman. Concerning Memphis, I know he was messing
with the heads of all those okey-doak hayseeds who had no way of understanding
his art; that he was merely bringing to mind his concept of how wrestling
was done in the old days, when wrestlers traveled from town to town
with carnivals and were mean and tough. He provoked women to want
to take him on by saying that women raised the babies, scrubbed the
potatoes, etc. I know he had much more real respect for women than
that, and he was just fishing for "takers", provoking their response.
His spirit roams the earth to comfort those of us who miss him, knowing
there will never be another to replace him. I love Andy. He was such
a fine man. Tana Lister
Thank you for this site. It's a great tribute
to my hero Andy Kaufman. No one will ever beat Andy in what he did.
He is the god of comedy. Many people will know Andy once they see
the movie coming out this summer MAN ON THE MOON. Hopefully these
people won't look at him as a stupid moron who got famous by almost
getting his neck broken. I will write more and tell you what people
think. And once again your site is my shrine.LONG LIVE THE KING ANDY
KAUFMAN!!!!!!!!! Cody
I think Andy was a brilliant actor/artist. When
he played someone, he really became that person. It's great for you
guys to make a site dedicated to him. He certainly deserves it. Jodi
Andy Kaufman changed my life. I discovered
him through a book Bob Zmuda wrote. He is my idol and will forever
be a genius and a God to me. I will be famous too someday. Just like
him. Andy lives on forever. Forever and ever, where ever he is. Cody
Always was a big wrestling fan and always new

I consider a select few people to put on my
list of those who did what they did amazingly well. Above that is
the list I put Andy Kaufman on: True geniuses. Roger Waters is the
other on that list. I am in awe every I hear anything about Andy.
If anyone would like to e-mail me; feel free. My ears and mind are

One of the things that always amazes me about
Andy each time I see something "new" is that you can't explain Andy's
humor, or entertainment style to people. I can never really explain
why it is funny, or entertaining … it just is. Sure not everyone gets
the joke, but I don’t think that was Andy’s point. I think it makes
it even funnier that people don’t get the joke. I am so glad to see
that Andy is back in the spotlight due to "Man On the Moon." So many
people now don't remember him or only think of him as that "Taxi guy."
I have been a huge fan for years, but unfortunately I didn't know
about him until after his death. (I was only 7 ... give me a break)
Even so, somehow I truly miss him. Brent
Kaufman is one of the funniest people to ever
live. I hope the movie does him justice. From the previews it seems
as though it will. Ben Freeman
Andy Kaufman will go down as being one of my
2 favourite performers, the other being Charli Chaplin, both these
great men were so incredibly talented and original, there will never
be another Andy, May the memory of Andy live on for ever, long live
"The Inter-gender champion!!" Darren Goss
I think Andy was a misunderstood genius. He
was clearly ahead of his time, and still may be. Perhaps one day we
will finally comprehend this amazing artist. Amanda O'Mahony
Andy was the man! Big Stone Gap, VA misses him!
