I loved the site! Andy Kaufman is a true
genius, and you have caught him within this site. You actually analyzed
what he did, instead of just posting it and leaving it unnoticed.
You truly went within his mind to try to figure out why he did the
things he did. the anti hero
The first time I saw Andy was a bit he played
(I think it aired on SNL) where he played to the bongos of the first
tune of the Music Man. Cash for the cotton goods CASH for the merchandise,
whaddya talk whaddya talk, where do you get it....... All the audience
were stupified till they caught on what he was doing, its the Music
Man, once you caught on it was magic. But first it was very strange.
Then it was the reading of the Great Gatsby, pure genius, getting
the audience against him purposefuly. I thought he was a genius or
very very mad. I think it was a touch of both, same feelings I have
for Frank Zappa and his genius madness provocation. I love them both
and I hope they live in our hearts (at least some of us) I wish they
were still with us. Jack Hunt
I hate it when people call Andy crazy, he wasnt.i
know. I am alot like him,and people think im crazy too. thats what
I want them to think. Life is like theater and Andy knew that.or maybe
he was mad maybe insanity sees itself as sane so maybe im insane...oh
well I'm from hollywood and i have the brains.bye everone. Andy(James)
Andy didn't just make everyone laugh. Everything
he did was thought-provoking and just brilliant. And he wasn't afraid
to make the audience the punchline. HE was just brilliant. Andromeda
Hello everyone, I think that andy is the most
talented comedian. He may have upset the audience sometimes but wasnt
it funny? I thought it was. I dont know why they got so mad they should
have known he was putting a show on. Anyway, great page and keep up
the good work! christine
I would just like to say thanks for making
this page and all the others. I believe that Andy was a great performer,
wrestler, comedian, and everything elese that he was. Andy was a great
man that saw the world in a totally different perspective than anyone
else. He made his audience think. Caitlin Magee
I am only 13 but i belive ANdy was the best
comedian genius whatever yo want to call him. He changed every one.
Made every one think. I am only 13 like i said but lately i have been
following andy watching his movies and ever since the taunts to jerry
lawler to the famous saying, "THANK YOU VERY MUCH" he was a genius
and i loved him. Andy will always live with us. Jarome
I am 15 years old. I was born only a few months
after Andy's death. The first time I saw him was on Taxi and I was
hooked. I had to find out about this guy. Now, I am so completely
taken by him. Sometimes I think he's haunting me. But really, he's
playing a major role in making me complete. Thank you Andy. Mary

Good people never die....they live in our heart.

Andy Kaufman is without a doubt, one of the
biggest entertainment geniuses to ever grace us with his prescence.
His flame was snuffed out much too quickly. Jake Moreno
I never saw him while he was still alive, I
was born three months after he died, so I suppose I wouldn't know
the phenomenon that was Andy Kaufman as well as people a good 15 years
older than me would. But I'd say this... genius, mad, mad genius whatever
the hell the chap was, he was a very intereresting person. Though
a weird one, not a bad one. And sometimes he was a real hoot. One
of the cool things he did was make audiences laugh at *themselves*;
their own perceptions and expectations. That's a something almost
no one takes a shot at, but it's worth it when they do. Marmar
Andy kaufman was the biggest jerk in the world,
but you know what that is what made him the best entertainer in the
history of this world. No one can even compare, If you look around
today you see all the comedians taking bits and peices of his acts.Tom
Green is the biggest ripp off.Andy set the stage for generations to
come.I have a hard time believing he is even dead. Wether or not he
is dead Andy still lives on in us all. chris shaw
"don't you think the joker laughs at you..."
(Beatles) As a fan of Andy Kaufman, I just want to say I hope he never
comes back ... it just would be Andy (whatever that means) B
I just watched the movie Man On The Moon. I
believe he just wanted the best out of everything and the
best out of everyone. He was a step ahead and was crafty. I felt a
bond through Andy and his style, and I do hope to find where he is
laughing. Byron Horne
Believing that Andy Kaufman could still be
alive is like a kid believing in Santa Claus or anyone believing in
a deity of some sort - it's real enough for those who believe. If
anyone can fall for Peter Popoff's charade, why not Andy Kaufman's?
Wayne Chapman
I grew up with no idea who Andy Kaufman was
.... I grew up with comedians like Jim Carry. I just barly came to
be aware of Andy and i'm glad I have. I could only wish that I could
see all the material and all the shows he did like Taxi. I've only
seen some of his shows but I bet if I was born like 20 years earlier
I would have become additiced to watching andy and his shows, since
I've become aware of Andy's comedic ways he's become my idol. I just
wish I could see everything he's ever done!!! and I think your site
is great. I love all the pic's of Andy .... Peter Coniceak
Hi! I am a big fan of Andy's! Man on the
Moon was a great tribute. They put many different things in the
movie. The one thing they didn't mention was "My Breakfast with
Blassie." That is a classic Andy Kaufman film. It's Kaufman at his
best. Clowning around and interviewing an old time professional
wrestler (who is male chauvenist pig). See this film if you are
a true Kaufman fan!
GREAT JOB ANDY! YOU REALLY GOT THE REACTION
FROM THE WORLD YOU WANTED!! YOU ARE AN ICON! Paul L. Nelson
Hello I am just getting into Andy Kaufman,
Im 16 and wish I could of met this man. I hope to meet Jim Carrey
just to met the man who played the best joker in the world. AK was
a great man in my mind. Mike
Andy was my favorite comedian even though I
was born after he did most of his most best things. He is still the
best comedian. The funny thing is he is no specific thing like an
actor or comedian he is just simply.....Andy. Halima Akar
The greatest Elvis Presley imitator ever. perhaps
that's why andy rarely performed it. if he did, it would give us pleasure.
Andy wanted us to be angry participants. h.v. whitesell
I just saw "Man on the Moon" and I must say
that I enjoyed it immensely! Jim Carrey does an uncanny AK impression!
Who was Andy Kaufman? I think he was a man who walked the border between
genius and madness ... and he still has us laughing, holding our sides,
and scratching our heads 20+ years later! Michelle
Even though I know Andy is dead, I still wan't
to believe that he is out in the world somewhere laughing at all of
us and starting another life over again. rachel
Andy Kaufman was an absolute genious, and that
is proven by the amount of publicity he can still get and the amount
of controversy still surrounding him these years later. He is pure
genious. David Kahn
Andy is my idol, though i am only 18, i've
spent many hours reading, and studying video. hehe he has inspired
me so much. Andy Wherever you are, THANK YOU. Alina
Andy Kaufman was the kind of man who wanted
to bend comedy to really effect the human mind. Laura H. Kinner
Andy Kaufman was and is the greatest comedic
actor ever. some people didnt understand his antics but
I did. and he always made me laugh, I never got mad at his performances,
they were great. Josh Royle
Well, here i am, i just saw "Man on the
Moon" and have drew a great deal of inspiration from it. I really
belive that Andy was before his time, the man we know as such a comic,
no, preformance genius was and still is incredible by all means. Kris
Andy was the most original comedian of our
time and never will anybody as eccentric as andy ever grace a stage
the way Andy Kaufman did. Joe
This site makes me laugh and cry in the same
sentence...post it or not, thanks. Scott Reid
I was born the day Andy
died =*( he was very funny, and I grew up watching Taxi re-runs!!
I cant wait to go see Man on the moon! Jenny
Andy was one of the few who was smart enough
to wander when he wasnt lost, a true dreamer. john houghton
I love andy. He is a God in my country. The
movie best be good- Carrey seems convincing thus far. kolleen
I think Andy Kaufman was the greatest comedic
genius too ever live. And "Man on the Moon" is the greatest movie
this year!!!!! Youngest Kaufman fan
Absolutely nothing short of a rare once-in-a-lifetime
creative mind/genius. I hope he reappears soon for the sake of all
that truly appreciate his uniqueness. No one else could ever capture
what he achieved, for no one else lived his life. I hope he re-emerges
in the near future--the sooner the better... fan from R.I.
I love Andy Kaufman! I spend my nights crying
about him. I listen to the "Man On The Moon" soundtrack all the time.
My favorite song that Andy did was "This Friendly World"! It makes
me so sad. I think he is going to come back and surprise us all!!
If that happened, I could die happy! I LOVE ANDY KAUFMAN!!!! Nina
He was Andy. Sad, Funny, but sincere. He was
an original and never ever compromised who he was. A lesson for us
all. God took him early as he does all people that are beyond thier
relm. Big fish in a little pond. We will never understand him. He
was genius. Jon
I remember seeing Andy for the first time
on SNL, with his Mighty Mouse, and thinking, finally!! Someone as
weird as I am!!!!
I just went to see M on M and it was great....
Andy lived and breathed again, through Jim Carrey.... It was almost
eerie.
You did a great job on your web site! Tank
you Veddy much! Cindy
Andy Kaufman was an incredible entertainer,
and his death was a tragedy; the one time when he wasn't joking was
the time of his death, but his legacy remains today. All of the speculations
about him still being alive are not only created by our own undying
curiousity, but also by our sadness that someone as amiable and as
lively as him could die. Emily Brown
I'm just 15, so I didn't enter Uncle Andy's
Funhouse until I watched Man on the Moon. We're very similar, Andy
and I because we're both into Eastern philosophy, and no one can quite
understand either of us. I too am an aspiring comic. Andy was the
lost little boy you can't help but love. He always seemed to lose
total control of himself when he was on screen. He is an inspiration
to me. Maybe it's just natural, being one of his younger fans and
still just in the middle of my childhood, but I truly believe that
there's a large chance that Andy is somewhere out there. Out there
waiting to come back and have his fun with us, having played with
our minds for so long. We'll all agree, "That was an amazing joke!"
And he'll probably say: "Tank you veddy much." Alison Wheat
Andy was awesome. He was a comical genius.
He wasn't a comedian though, he was a song and dance man. He wanted
the audience to hate him. And they did, but they laughed. Nobody really
understood him except for him. He is a legend. Ashlin Franklin
I think Andy Kaufman was a wonderful actor
and comedian even though he didn't think of himself as a comedian
he was one of the greatest. He was hard for everyone to understand
but still he was special. courtney
Even though I'm only 14 and have only recently
become fascinated with Andy, I think he's one of the most innovative
performers this world has ever seen. I realize that I'm most likely
not old enough to even talk, but from what I've seen and read, I find
Andy Kaufman captivating. Annie
I just recently discovered who Andy Kaufman
truly was, I was too young to see his many exploits when they first
appeared, all I saw were the Taxi reruns on Nickelodeon, and I didn't
like them, but now I know Andy didn't either. Through specials on
Comedy Central and most recently Man on the Moon I finally got to
see who this man really was. The kind of entertainment that he truly
wanted the world to know him for is in my opinion hilarious and brilliant,
and I'm sorry I had to miss them when they actually happened. Andy
Evans
I love Andy Kaufman because he refuses to sell
out and always is original and on the cutting edge. Take a look at
the stuff he did when he was alive, comedians are copying it ever
since. Bobby Miller
Even though im only 13, I've seen tributes
on t.v about him. and he's pretty cool. and larry lawler was a wrestler
then, hes a total beer chuggin idiot now that wears some stupid costume.
I wouldnt wanna see him in a wrestling outfit now. holly h.
Andy Kaufman was one great mind. NOT A HUMAN
but a great mind. I think he was one great mind. That could pull off
anything ever. Andrew Battistelli
Andy Kaufman was a great comedian I hope he
was still alive but he's not!
I'm looking to find out reasearch places
where I can learn more about the comic genius Andy Kaufman/Latka/Tony
Clifton/Forien Man. Adam Minneci
I loved Andy, but I hated "Man On the Moon."
What a disgrace! I can't believe that his friends where behind the
movie. It gave amazingly little insight into his personal life, and
made him out to be an unfunny moron. I was hoping that the movie would
introduce him to new fans, but this movie could only make people dislike
him before they ever saw him. It makes me sad. Brent
