I have never
been so inspired by a person more than Andy Kaufman. He had an amazing
knack for timing, manipulation, and childish glee gone crazy. Through
his stunts like taking the whole audience out for milk and cookies
and wearing a shirt that said "I Love Grandma," he can forever bring
even the most adult of us back to childhood innocence. Jim Carrey
does a really wonderful job portaying him in "Man On the Moon,"
and I am increasingly intrigued to understand - just who was this
guy? Lauren
It is awful being in England where no one know's
about Andy, I feel as on edge as Foreign Man looks, because I keep
laughing to myself in public (thinking about Andy) and when I explain
what a genious he was people say "who?" Please e-mail me I'm desperate
to hear from others crazy Kaufman Fans! Lucy
I really don't know what to put here, I was
just looking for some pictures, so off the top of my head, I'd like
to say that knowing about Andy Kaufman has changed my life for the
better, makes me think, be a better person, (etc. etc.) and that this
is the healthiest obsession I've had in a long time. S. Isadora
Hi! Just wanted to let you know that your site
is great, and I'm wondering if you've got a section for links, if
you'd please link to my page? See, my site is devoted to searching
for Andy Kaufman, because we would like to thank Andy for his positive
contribution to the world. We've also got a Tribute page to Andy,
and a page dedicated to Tony Clifton, and a page devoted to Andy's
music. If you could put a link to our site on your site, we would
appreciate it very very much. We want as many people to see it as
possible because on the off chance that Mr. Kaufman is still actually
alive, we would like him to see it. If you'd like, we could place
a link to your site on our site? Well, thank you very much! And my
site URL is: http://members.aol.com/sanciarain/AK.html
Bye! :-) Ashley
I have had over 80 people in my life tell me
that I remind them of Andy Kaufman (this was before the movie came
out) so know I want to learn more about him. jesse mAIER
Andy died 13 days before i was even born. I
tell you, the way this guy focused his life, its a wonder he didn't
fake his death earlier. Well if he is gone, see you later. If he isn't,
come back soon.
P.S. Only way to know for sure... someone
go to Beth David cemetary and say HI to the old man..if he is there...

I just recently discovered andy and I never
realized how frickin' funny he is-my best friend and I are always
laughing at stupid crap that we saw andy do on tv and no one understands.
It makes me feel privleged to have that-ANDY KICKS IT! sam
Andy Kaufman was no doubt a genius. There are
very few people who can actually do something that makes us stop and
scratch our heads later on down the line. He broke molds and boundries,
and still has the power to influence people into realizing that hey,
it's ok to push the envelope. It's ok to try new things. He was indeedy
a revolutionary. Kira
I think the next Andy is at hand with the next
mellenium and I would like to follow in his steps I would like to
thank him for inspiring me and making me think! Andy

andy did what he knew would make us laugh he
struck the funnybone in all of us may he rest in peace but never be
forgotten. alisa
I just saw the movie Man on the Moon and didn't
quite know what to think about it. It kinda just left me with this
empty feeling and it mad me so sad at the end. That's why I logged
on to this website. To find some more info on him. Michelle
I'm just beginning to discover Andy and his
magic. I was only 4 when he died, so the only thing I have to know
him by are "Taxi" reruns. But, I think he happens to be a comedic
GENIUS!! He dared to do things no one else did. God bles you Andy
Kaufman, wherever you happen to be. Kate P
Andy Kaufman is before my time, but I feel
a strong interest in his life, especially after seeing the movie Man
on the Moon. He was really just making people think. Rhiannon Murphy
I had never heard of Andy Kaufman until I saw
a preview for Man on the Moon. I asked my dad who Andy was and he
chuckled. "He wrestled all these women," he said. I was intrigued.
I saw the movie. Then I saw it again. I visited websites dedicated
to him. I bought the books. I bought the videos. The more I see of
Andy, the more I love him. If I had been more than six years old when
he was around, I would've trained so I could wrestle and beat him,
so I could get the "extra prize" of marrying him :-) Anna Wineland
I am totally infatuated with Andy Kaufman.
I've tried to see everything I possibly could on him I feel like I
know him, only well enough to know that it is impossible to know him
for what he really is. I don't know everything about him and I never
will. The only way possible is to be him, and that is impossible.
No one could ever be like him. Jim Carry is the closest but still
miles away. Man on the Moon is the best movie I have ever seen. To
get me into a movie theater at those prices three times it was well
worth it, I felt like I was ripping them off. Also, I know I'll go
and see it a few more times. This web page and others like it are
great sites with a plethera of information and links. "Thank you berry
much." Mike Smola
I loved andy's performances especially when
he was on taxi.i feel like andy kaufman would make things better and
make me laugh like crazy.this is in dedication to andy kaufman. Dylan

As comedians and actors during the 70's and
80's attempted to develope a personality that would climb that hollywood
tree of money and wealth, Andy Kaufman was out jumping up and down
on its farthest branches because of his vision. As comedians and actors
would have to psyche themselves up in order to maintain the divided
line between 'upward' management and performer as well as performer
and 'lower' audience, Andy included management, performer, and audience
altogether in the strictest kind of 'family' entertainment--everyone
was part of the show. What creates and motivates a wonderful person
like this? Willaim M. Jones
I think Andy was one of the best proformers
of his time. He was misunderstood, a genious, and an all around good
guy. Some say his work was a waste of time. And another thing about
time, Andy's was well spent even though he wasnt around long enough
for me to see him live. Charlie Jessup
Andy Kaufman Was A True Genius. He Inspired
Un-Countable Numbers Of People And Made Many More Laugh. Andy Was
A True-To-Life Kind Of Guy. One That Said, "Hey, Im Only here For
A While, Why Not Have Some Fun?" And Thats What Made Him So Special.

I want to be famous someday too, just like
Andy. I think I can be too. I want to do some of the same kinds of
things too. Ever since I saw man on the moon I've been on a quest
for knowledgd about Andy, I read Zmuda's new book, and am trying to
find out more about Andy, and figure out his characters, while developing
a plethera of my own. I want to be the next Andy. Andy if your still
alive I'm a new fan and think your brilliant, and want to be just
like you, and if you are I am looking forward to your return, whenever
that is. I'm only 15, almost 16, and I've never quite fit in I'm short
and a little overweight, and the way you thought about everyone the
same has given lots of confidence. If your alive I thank you for what
you've done for me with out even meeting me. You have become my favorite
comedian, and if your gone thanks. For all you out there reading this,
I'm going to be famous, and when I am, listen for this call on the
David Letterman show, or SNL if Dave retires," I've made if Andy,
this is for you!!", then I will run across the stage and drop my pants
reveiling Andy Kaufman boxers. Write that down, because it will happen.
Zmuda I liked your book, and tank you verdy much. James
Andy is a genius and millions of light years
ahead of his time, read bob zmudas new book on him. i've loved Kaufman
4 years. Kevin Murphy
I never knew who andy was until i saw the new
movie 'Man on the Moon' with jim carrey. for a bit i thought andy
had a death wish but i saw that he was thinking and made you think.
For instance aren't there time where you play a role in your head?
we'll he played it in real life in front of an audience. that pissed
alot of people off. but as you look back at what a wonderful idea
of humor was to him, you can see that he wasn't insane, mental or
in some was sick. he was just playing a role. a role that was funny
to himself and he wouldn't stop until the play was over in his mind.
he's a mental genius. think about it! Nicholas "Monkey"
Andy was beyond description. A god among men.
J.B.
I just saw "Man on the Moon" Jim Carrey really
nailed it!! What a portrayal. I think Andy Kaufman was one of the
most important comics of our time. He was unique to say the least.
I am a beginning stand- up comic and am trying to decide what to do
up there on stage to make me unique.... without copying Andy, that
is. There will never be another Andy Kaufman. Someday... perhaps people
will say, "There will never be another John Tarantino" We'll see.
John Tarantino
I dont know that much about andy, but from
what ive seen and heard, he was a great performer. not in the traditional
sense, but made people realy think. in my opinion, he left the greatest
legacy when he died. some people even think he is still alive faking
is death! Austin La Turno
